History of K&P
The K&P Meats Ltd. concept was initiated by a group of friends who love both hockey and steaks. For years we have been on a quest to find that perfect mixture of good quality steaks at a reasonable price without compromising taste. We now have a product that offers both.
It all started when a friend of ours introduced us to a new kind of steak that has its own unique tenderizing and marinating process. These steaks are called “cowboy steaks.” Unfortunately, they could only be found outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We recognized the talent right away and during the 2002 Olympic hockey games, we picked up multiple bags of cowboy steaks. For every Olympic hockey game we went through a bag of “cowboys.” We would all gather at a friend’s house for beers and a barbeque while cheering on our country. With team Canada advancing further and further into the finals, we went through quite a few bags of “cowboys.” All of our friends were so impressed with the taste and price of the “cowboys,” they all wanted bags the next time we went to get a supply. Because of the overwhelming feedback from our friends and families, we decided to launch K&P Meats Ltd. and we’ve never looked back.
We are very pleased and proud to announce that we are now selling cowboy steaks right here in Toronto. With hard work and dedication, K&P Meats Ltd. has grown each and every day and still continues to grow. In 2004, we received the Etobicoke Guardian’s award for Best Frozen Food in Toronto, as selected by the readers. We thank you for your confidence and plan to continue it everyday!
