J.D. Hill Jewellers is a second-generation family run business that specializes in SERVICE. Jim Hill and now his son Jamie and wife Lisa have been servicing the Brantford and surrounding areas for 38 years. They are active in the community, members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Jewellers Association.
Founder Jim Hill is a master watchmaker and a graduate jeweller with extensive knowledge in precious stones, watches, clocks and jewellery. A past president of the Ontario Watchmakers Association, Jim has perfected his art of watch making through many years of experience. Jim’s son Jamie carried on the family tradition and is a Graduate Goldsmith from George Brown College and specializes in metallurgy, design, and master setting. After Jamie graduated, he studied under Mr. Steve Stapany, a master designer and gem setter from Beverly Hills, California; Mr.Accura Degomi, goldsmith and metallurgist; and Mr. Tom Pet K of Thailand, a specialist in the design and repair of fine jewellery.
Jamie specializes in CUSTOM DESIGNS and HANDCRAFTED JEWELLERY and creates jewellery with silver, all karats of gold and platinum right in the store. If you are looking for a unique piece of jewellery or would like to have an old piece re-designed, you will not have to wait until it’s finished and be surprised at the outcome. Their computer aided design program will let you see your creation in two-dimensional colour before any work begins so you can see exactly what your design will look like.
